What ages is this camp for?
This camp is designed for kids ages 7–12.
This age range allows us to teach safely, keep kids engaged, and provide a positive group learning experience.
Does my child need skating experience?
No. No prior skating experience is required.
This camp is beginner-friendly and focuses on fundamentals, confidence, and safe progression.
Who is this camp NOT a good fit for?
This camp may not be a good fit for:
- Kids who are not interested in learning to skate or participating in group activities
- Kids who need consistent 1-on-1 behavioral support to stay safe in a group setting
- Kids who are sensitive to loud music, large groups, or busy environments, as roller rinks can be energetic and stimulating
We want every child to have a positive experience, and some kids thrive better in quieter or smaller settings.
what are the camp hours?
Camp runs Monday through Friday:
- 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Structured instruction, drills, games

Does my child need to have helmet, pads or skates?
- Helmets are strongly recommended
- Pads are recommended for beginners
- Skates are not required (rentals are available)
Safety gear helps kids progress faster and feel more confident.
How many kids are in each camp?
Each camp week has limited capacity to maintain quality instruction and supervision.
Once a week fills, enrollment closes and a waitlist may open.
Who will be supervising my child?
Camp is led by trained instructors and supervised staff from SK8SHOT Studios, in partnership with River Roll Skate Center.
Safety, structure, and positive coaching are our top priorities.
My child already knows how to skate—will they be bored?
No. When possible, kids are grouped by ability.
More confident skaters are given additional challenges and skill variations so they stay engaged.
What if my child refuses to participate?
We encourage and support participation, but progress depends on the child.
If a child consistently refuses to participate or becomes disruptive, we’ll contact the parent to determine next steps.
My child is shy / nervous / afraid of falling—will they be okay?
Yes. We focus heavily on confidence-building and teach kids how to fall safely and get back up.
Our coaching style is patient, supportive, and never intimidating.
Can I book multiple weeks?
Yes. You can book multiple weeks at once, and multi-week discounts apply automatically at checkout.
What is your cancellation / refund policy?
Because camp weeks have limited capacity, all sales are final unless otherwise stated.
Transfers to another week may be possible if space allows.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Sibling discounts may be available, depending on availability.
If you’re enrolling more than one child, please contact us, and we’ll help you choose the best option.
